Howden 2

I am particularly drawn to the interconnectedness of light and the dark. In particular, I love how the dark places mix with the patches of blinding light. Both the dark and the light exist for me, as places to explore and fear. They are ever present, as I walk through the Australian landscape and as a metaphor for my life.

This is the second of a two part painting series (see Howden 1 for the other work). It captures the lutruwita / Tasmanian summer landscape near where I live.

The painting is 25cm tall by 20cm wide. It is painting in acrylic on birch board base.
